#GEMGirls4Equity April 4, 2023 Campaign

DID YOU KNOW

Last year, in Canada, working women made 89 cents for every dollar earned by a man*

While the difference is slowly closing, the gender pay gap continues to preserve its role as a long-standing contributor to gender inequality. Additionally, it highlights just one way in which women are discriminated against in the workplace. Pay inequity also stems from societal norms regarding career choices, advancement opportunities, and the burden of unpaid care work women undertake. Pay equity not only ensures fairness, equality, economic growth, and social justice, it is the law.**

Be a part of change, and help the next generation of young women to break the barriers. #GEMGirls4Equity

In Ontario, April 4, 2023 is Equal Pay Day. We sincerely thank the local women-led businesses for helping elevate awareness for the work we do, leading to transformational results for an ever-growing group of GEM girls, who move on better equipped to succeed with more knowledge and greater confidence.
