What does it mean to be a GEM Mentor?

Being a GEM Mentor means being a catalyst for the next generation of women in the workplace. Our Mentors — over 900 female professionals, each with 5+ years of experience — are passionate about sharing their knowledge and thrive when investing just a few hours a month engaging with their Mentees.

Having faced their own career barriers, our Mentors are driven to give back — offering time, encouragement, and insight to girls who need it the most. Through mentorship, girls expand their networks, uncover new opportunities, and ignite their curiosity about future career ambitions.

What it means to be a GEM Mentee

 GEM is a 9-month program that supports girls in Grades 10 to 12 facing social, financial, and other societal barriers. We offer a one-to-one mentorship program that connects girls to professional career women who prepare them to see and seize future academic and career opportunities.
