Ways to Give

Three ways an individual can donate
  1. One-time or ongoing donations

    You can make a one-time or ongoing tax-deductible donation to help us connect more girls to Mentors. You can adjust your contribution at any time.

     

  2. Legacy gifting
    Creating a lasting legacy of support by leaving a gift to GEM in your estate plan. You can do this through a bequest in your will, naming GEM as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, RRSP, or RRIF, or a gift of securities or other assets.

  3. Donor-advised charitable giving

    Give a one-time or recurring gift through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) by logging in to your DAF sponsor’s portal, searching for Girls E-Mentorship (Charity Number 837034131RR0001).

Four ways corporations can donate
  1. One-time and multi-year partnerships
    You can make a one-time or ongoing Flagship donation, giving your organization a lasting, visible role in the work.
  2. Sponsor an event
    Sponsor a GEMinar, one of five annual masterclasses that expose Mentees to new industries and professionals, or host a GEM Enrichment, a hands-on experience like a job shadow day or skills workshop at your organization.
  3. Donate time and expertise
    Give your employees the chance to sharpen their leadership, communication, and coaching skills as a GEM Mentor, while giving a girl a consistent role model who
    helps her see her future as limitless. Explore our Mentor program.
  4. Invest in a girl’s future
    Since 2019, our partners and donors have helped us fund $750,000 in scholarships to more than 200 Mentees. Our partners also provide paid internships and placements that give GEM girls real workplace experience.
