GEMinar 2: Connections That Matter

Thank you to Cisco Canada for hosting our second GEMinar of the 2020-21 year as part of Take Your Kids to STEM Day!

Alongside their peers, GEMgirls listened to inspiring guest speakers, watched fascinating tech demos, and dove deep into the ocean with Canadian cave diver Jill Heinerth.

In addition to exploring new industries and seeing experts present difficult concepts in an effective, engaging way, participants were asked to think about the value of relationship-building. By the end of the session, GEMgirls were able to identify champions that currently exist in their network, relationships they want to strengthen, new connections they want to make, and how other people can help them reach their goals.
